BIOGRAPHY GEEJAY

I hold a BSc from Maquarie University and am as passionate about the environment as I am about technology and what it can do for you.

I started my working life in the stockbroking industry just as the first simple computers and email started to be used, and sent my first email in 1984. I bought my first computer about this time and my interest, knowledge and fascination with technology has continued to grow and is still growing. Over time I began to pass on my knowledge to others, much of it self-taught, and so my computer consulting business commenced. My insights and experience have been invaluable to many people. In computer parlance I would be considered an 'early adopter', and this early adoption and 'playing' with new gadgets and technologies has given me wide experience to pass on to my clients.

In the early 1990s I discovered the power of the World Wide Web (www.) - The internet. Together with a team of stockbroking and computer colleagues, we developed the first stockbroking internet website in Australia, and also launched services on the Microsoft OnAustralia platform.

Over the intervening years I have had the opportunity of testing many new technologies, some even before they became publicly available. I was an early user of ADSL Broadband, and a mobile phone user, and recently purchased Microsoft’s latest Windows Operating System - Windows Vista. Over the years I have become extremely familiar with many types of phone and computer technology, and importantly, I am always learning.

I gradually developed my computer services business in the mid 1990s to teach and assist those trying to cope with the pace of change, choice, and complexity in their computer systems, particularly seniors.

As a computer consultant and teacher, it is my commitment and practice to make everything as simple as possible for my clients, so that they can get the most from this modern world of technology which has so much to offer. No one is too old to learn - whether it is to access the internet, or to keep in touch with family and friends via email, to receive and send photos, to shop and bank online and many other activities.

My service guarantee is to teach and advise in a patient, friendly, often humorous, and knowledgeable manner. Your eventual computer proficiency and enjoyment is what I set out to achieve with each and every customer.
